Week 15: Shinsekai, Akuma and other anime PFP projects on the rise in the NFT world

  1. Based on the last seven days’ statistics and in view of the total decrease in NFT sales, Mutant Ape Yacht Club has outrun its older brother BAYC for the first time with sales volume of $32.6 m. MAYC’s current floor price is 26.74 ETH.

  2. Bored Ape Yacht Club sales volume has reduced by 26% compared to last week, and its floor price has dropped to 105 ETH.

  3. MOAR by Joan Cornella is a collection of 5,555 hand-drawn NFT characters living in a mansion in the metaverse called MOAR. The project has earned over $24 m since its launch last week. All characters are based on popular web comics by Spanish illustrator Joan Cornella which became viral and have taken their rightful place in the meme culture.

  4. Arcade Land is an interoperable metaverse with fast action games for the NFT community. Land plots’ prices in the new metaverse start from 0.97 ETH on Opensea. The project has earned over $23 m within the last week and has gotten to #4 of the Cryptoslam’s weekly rating.

  5. CloneX sales have dropped by 60% over the last seven days taking the project to #5 of the weekly rating. The floor price has also decreased to 18.5 ETH.

  6. Shinsekai is a project comprising 10,000 NFTs with the aim to build the NFT manga community and create a Mangaverse. The project is one of the other anime-themed NFT projects throughout the ecosystem, kicked off by Azuki’s rapid popularity.

  7. Azuki sales have dropped by 80% so the project has gone down to #7 of the Cryptoslam’s weekly rating, following the overall NFT sales decline. Meanwhile, Azuki #3602 was purchased for 275 ETH ($0.86 m) on LooksRare.

  8. Akuma is a collection of 5,555 characters with a plan to build their own metaverse. Project’s popularity is driven by overall success of anime PFP projects which has started after the explosive rise of the anime-themed Azuki.

  9. Generative art Mantel Rojo by artist Manoloide was purchased for 275 ETH last week.

  10. Ringer #415, one of the rarest Art Blocks Ringers by artist Dmitri Cherniak, was listed on the secondary marketplace for 1,234 ETH.
